Results indicated that TWIP steel has high corrosion fatigue susceptibility, which is mainly caused by anodic dissolution at grain boundaries and twin boundaries. However, uniform plastic deformation tends to inhibit corrosion fatigue. The influence of plastic deformation on corrosion fatigue of TWIP steel was clarified through the aspects of microstructure evolution, mechano-electrochemical effect, fatigue damage, etc. Findings reveal that plastic deformation or metallurgical design for high grain boundary strength will improve the resistance of corrosion fatigue for TWIP steel." @default.
