- W3123670523 abstract "Nanomedicine addresses the interaction of nanostructured materials with the human biological systems and it is used in therapeutics to construct several nano-systems such as nanocomputers, nanoantibiotics, nanorobotics and nanosponges sharing tremendous applications. Nanotechnology has found its new ways in medicinal science, especially for Nanosponges. Carbon-coating polymers were engineered to create nanosponges which are highly capable of gliding through blood vessels without triggering an immune response. Though they were highly efficient in delivering the drug, their purpose was also directed towards trapping the toxins from the bloodstream. Nanosponges can solve several problems related to formulations. They can bind the less soluble medicines within their matrix and improve the bioavailability of the drug because of their small size and porous character. It can be designed to target drugs at certain sites, prevent the degradation of medicines and proteins and prolong the controlled release of drugs. These powerful contributions of nanosponges in the field of therapeutics are one of the most promising domains that ensure to function, diagnose and treat diseases with high precision even at molecular and cellular levels. Because of its advantages, nanosponges has not only been studied in its pharmaceutical applications but is also popular in allied sciences and water purification. Through this review, nanotechnology scientists can get a glimpse into the techniques of preparing and application of nanosponges." @default.
