- W3127052975 abstract "Abstract Some countries begun to use of renewable energy sources to reduce the harmful effect of global warming and climate change from burning fossil fuels. Greenhouse gases (GHG) released by burning of fossil fuels such as carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, oxides of nitrogen, and particulate matter and heavy metals such as mercury, cadmium, lead, and zinc. Renewable energy is derived from sources that are being replaced by nature, such as water, wind, solar and biomass. Renewable energy resources appear to be one of the most efficient and effective solutions for achieving sustainable development. Also, in recent years renewable energy resources have become alternatives to fossil fuels. New environmentally friendly biopesticides and fertilizers are also used. Nanotechnology has many advantages such as improving manufacturing methods, reducing toxic substances, reducing GHG emissions, and reducing usage of plastics synthetics. Nanophytoremediation includes both nanotechnology and phytoremedies. Today nanomaterials are commonly used in the cosmetics, lighting, drugs, textiles, etc. Nanotechnology improves the performance of phytoremediation, and nanoparticles can be used to remediate soils and water polluted with heavy metals, carbon, and inorganic pollutants." @default.
