Emergence in the analytical QbD approaches helps in establishing proper control strategy for the analytical method to control variability and improve robustness in method performance with high quality. Among the PAT tools that are largely being used in the pharmaceutical industry are near-infrared spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and terahertz pulsed spectroscopy technologies. These PAT tools have been increasingly used for real-time measurements of critical process attributes and nondestructive measurements without sample preparations resulting in successful implementation in continuous manufacturing. This chapter aims to give a glimpse of the present state of QbD and PAT tools in the pharmaceutical industry. Additionally, implementation of QbD-based nondestructive techniques commonly used to monitor unit operations in the pharmaceutical industry is summarized and briefly discussed." @default.
