- W3128576317 abstract "Due to the development of the worldwide aviation industry, people tend to depend on the use of petroleum-based jet fuel which leads to an environmental unsustainability. Therefore the development of renewable-based oils for biojet fuel production has drawn attention increasingly as one of the most attractive ways for reducing and/or substituting conventional jet fuel. Along with this concept, several potential catalysts assessment and some relevant production technologies perspective are necessary and crucial for driving the green biojet fuel R&D. This chapter provides the discussion of renewable oil feedstocks, catalytic development status, diverse reaction pathways, and effect of operating parameters to attain optimum yield and selectivity of desired products for biojet fuel production. The overview results suggest that deoxygenation of triglyceride-based oils over nonnoble metals can be the most promising technologies for biojet fuels production in the present. For further research, the development for large-scale production could be the main improving challenges for the competitiveness as an alternative renewable jet fuel and for the subsidization of conventional jet fuel." @default.
