The main characteristic of leisure time is freedom, voluntariness and uncompolsary. It develops in the family and expands in the school. Pupil’s leisure time is time where they remain available after the completion of the family and school problems. That is the time during the day in which are intertwined numerous and varied influences and content, positive and negative, organized and spontaneous, which complement and correct what is offered by the family and the school. Extracurricular activities are one of the factors that affect the way the organization and realization of leisure time for children at primary school age. Into them children include voluntary and have aim for pupils to offer them acquiring a new quality of knowledge, to encourage their interest to stir up their curiosity, creativity, to identify and support gifted, and the students showing particular interest in a certain area. Through the inclusion of pupils in the extracurricular activities should be encouraged and of the greater physical and sporting activities in order to reduce and removed the effects of modern lifestyles (technological dependency, improper posture, weight gain in children, reduced attention and concentration, increased aggressiveness as a result of stored energy, a number of health problems caused by insufficient physical activity and sedentary lifestyle)." @default.
