- W3129700650 abstract "A supersonic high flow engine is known as the scramjet engine. Due to the high speed of this engine not any moving parts are provided. At the high flight speed, the mixing of the air and fuel faces challenges. Therefore, across all over the world many researchers and scientist working in the field of the combustion at the supersonic flow are tried to innovate the technology which improves the combustion efficiency and the mixing efficiency in the supersonic air breathing engine. In this paper, a review is carried out to analyse the parameters which affected the combustion performance, mixing efficiency, inlet air temperature and the total pressure of the combustion chamber of the scramjet engine. On the basis of the review of the most of the research paper on the enhancement of the combustor performance, the different techniques of the fuel injection at the different boundary conditions and different type of the fuel injectors are used. It is observed that for the better combustion of the fuel, the mixing of the fuel and air i.e. mixing efficiency should be increased. Different type of fuel such as ethylene, hydrogen and hydrocarbons are also used for the implementation of the combustion and mixing efficiency of the fuel and air in the scramjet engine." @default.
