- W3130607259 abstract "The current development of the oil and gas industry’s mechanical engineering is described. A brief description of the “hot” pumping of oil through the pipeline from the place of its production is presented. The description of the thermal insulation technology used for pumping oil using polyurethane foam and galvanized steel is given. On its basis, the necessity of using foamed thermal insulation materials, for example, foam glass in the oil and gas engineering industry as a thermal insulation of pipelines for the transportation of hydrocarbon raw materials (oil) is justified. The physical and mechanical properties of foam glass are described, which clearly show its advantage over other thermal insulation materials. The developed technology of production of foam glass using raw materials of the Russian Far East and for the harsh climatic conditions of this region is presented. The graph of foaming of foam glass is given. For evidence of the use of foam glass as the insulation of pipelines, the authors made a thermal design of a pipeline section with the given initial data and the graphical dependence proved the effectiveness of foam glass for the insulation oil pipelines in the Far Eastern and Northern regions of the Russian Federation. Based on the research, the corresponding conclusion is made." @default.
