The efficiencies of the photocatalysts in degrading Rhodamine B followed the sequence of TiOF 2 /g-C 3 N 4 > TiO 2 /g-C 3 N 4 > g-C 3 N 4 > TiOF 2 . In water splitting using Pt as a co-catalyst and triethanolamine (TEOA) as a sacrificial agent, the efficiencies followed the same sequence. Various tools were used to characterize the structures of the photocatalysts and understand the reasons for the superior performance of TiOF 2 /g-C 3 N 4 . Photocatalytic mechanisms involving TiOF 2 /g-C 3 N 4 were proposed." @default.
