- W3136642244 abstract "The present study reports the dose and duration dependent effects of lead on the activity of some membrane-bound ion dependent ATPases (Total, Na+- K+, Ca2+ and Mg2+ATPases) and lysosomal enzymes (acid phosphatase, α-galactosidase, β-galactosidase, α-glucuronidase and β-glucuronidase), in ovary of rat. The study tests the hypothesis viz, lead has a dose and duration dependent effects on the activities of membrane bound ion dependent ATPases and lysosomal enzymes extracted from ratovary. To check these hypothesis, animals were divided into two different groups were received (0.1 and 1 mg/ml)for two different time interval (15 and 30 mins). Specific activity of membrane bound ion dependent ATPases and lysosomal enzymes were showed the inhibition after 15 and 30 min time interval of lead. Therefore, the results suggested that compounds containing lead has the capacity to inhibit the activity of membrane bound ATPases and lysosomal enzymes which may cause disturbances in the digestion and recycling of macromolecules that may lead to disturbances in the immune system, which in turn may affect to the reproductive functions of animals." @default.
