• W3136751160 abstract "English abstract: This article aims to explore the consequences and significance of WWI, as they were mirrored by the total conception used by contemporaries and historians. It also tries to answer the question about perspicacity of such ideas in the contemporary historiography. Author concludes that the total conception was important in underlying and fixing some important transformations linked to WWI: the growth of the price and its causalities, the increasing militarization and the fading frontier between the periods of war and peace, the new roles of the State in the socio-economic processes. The historians also had their own motives to use this conception. It enabled to weave together different aspect of WWI history and to push forward the holistic view on the Great War, it helped to construct narrative of the long history of warfare beginning, at least, from the Second Thirty years of 1618-1648, finally, it gave apparatus to underline the specifics of the XX century as the century of total wars and to compare it to the other epochs.Russian abstract: Целью данной статьи является выявление последствий Первой мировой, отразившихся в концепции «тотальной войны», а также ответ на вопрос: почему данная концепция востребована современными исследователями? Автор приходит к выводу о том, что концепция «тотальной войны», использовавшаяся уже современниками, говорила и важных трансформациях, связанных с Первой мировой войной: о резком возрастании цены войны, о растущей милитаризации, стиравшей грани между мирной и военной жизнью, об усилении государственного вмешательства в различные сферы социально-экономической жизни. Свои резоны были и у последующих исследователей, прибегавших к использованию концепции тотальной войны. Она позволяла связать различные аспекты «Великой войны» в единое целое, открывает путь к холистскому взгляду на события 1914-1918 гг.; позволяла выстроить нарратив, включающий Первую мировую в более долгий хронологический ряд событий, начинающихся, как минимум, с Тридцатилетней войны 1618-1648 гг.; предоставляла инструментарий для понимания «особости» XX века как века «тотальных войн» по сравнению с другими эпохами." @default.
