- W3136751541 abstract "Currently, Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) has been involved in various applications where human interference is almost impossible. It comprised of a number of remote Sensor Nodes (SNs) that are randomly distributed over an area. The objective of these SNs are to collect, process and transmit data to some remote center. Due to harsh environment, battery replacement task is impossible in these SNs. Therefore, efficient and optimal routing is necessary for all those applications that initiate WSN. Clustering is adopted as a popular method for optimizing the energy efficiency. In this paper, energy efficient routing approach has been introduced, which is based on Mobile Sink (MS) and Sojourns Locations (SLs) of a sink. Distributed Energy Efficient Clustering(DEEC) routing protocol has been considered as a base approach. Simulation results showed that MS approach optimize the energy consumption as well as increases the throughput of the network as compared to SL and Static Sink (SS) approach." @default.
