- W3137661844 abstract "Needless to say, various rotational machines support today’s industry. As a result, maintenance of these machines is very important to ensure their performance. Condition monitoring and maintenance based on ISO 20816 is widely applied to various rotational machines (motors, pumps, etc.). In this standard, we judge velocity amplitude of machine vibrations corresponding to the kind of the machine while the machine is fixed on the ground and driven. However, if the machine cannot be firmly fixed to the ground due to operating conditions, the machine will be fixed flexibly. As a result, the machine vibration is of higher amplitude than that of a machine that is rigidly fixed, and application of the existing evaluation standard may be difficult. Therefore, the evaluation standard is relaxed for some machines. In a flexibly supported machine, it has not yet been clarified unique vibration modes exist when vertical rotating machines in which the rotor is arranged vertically are flexibly supported by springs, unlike horizontal machines. The purpose of this study is to clarify the vibration characteristics. In this paper, we prepared a model of a disk rotor with a base part flexibly supported by a linear spring, and clarified its vibration characteristics by simulation. As a result, it was found that the design of the rotating part affects the vibration characteristics of the base part. Accordingly, it was also found that the operating range of the rated speed can be widened." @default.
