- W3138599627 abstract "Characteristic microstructures of fine equiaxial grains with highly oriented gradients are often found around coarse precipitates in cold-rolled specimens; these microstructures are regarded as recrystallization nucleation sites under cold rolling and subsequent heat treatment. To predict the influence of applied strain and precipitate shape on strain and stress disturbances near a precipitate, the inhomogeneity problem under cold rolling conditions has been solved analytically using interior- and exterior-point Eshelby tensors. It is found that the stress and strain disturbances around the precipitate vary substantially with the aspect ratio of the precipitate, where the region of stress localization is dependent on the precipitate curvature at both ends of the precipitate parallel to the rolling direction. The residual stress predictions strongly suggest that the formation of a rotated zone is caused by the relaxation of disturbed stress under cold rolling." @default.
