- W3139065707 abstract "Abstract In this paper wear rate of the diamond tool segment being studied. Diamond tool segment wear causes the main cost of the tool. A variety of marble and granite stone was cut to study the diamond segment wear. The diamond and metal matrix composed tool cut the variety of stone results in the continuous wear on the tool surface. Wear rate has been investigated since start of the cutting stone. The wear mechanism of the diamond particles and metal matrix causes the abrasion and erosion due to flushing respectively. Wear due to erosion mainly concerned with stone swarf and diamond tool segment, characterizing both the metal matrix and diamond particles or grains in the cutting waste. Metal matrix material (MMC) is the main part of the tools used for stone cutting and it affects the efficiency as well as life of the tool. This paper gives investigates the tip speed and spindle speed for minimum wear rate of diamond tool." @default.
