- W3139506656 abstract "The requirement of clean water and air is a main issue for underdeveloped countries and modern economies in the future. Demand for a higher content of water is a motivation for the elimination and reduction of concentration levels of contaminants like metal ions and/or organic pollutants that have recently attracted enormous attention and accordingly adsorption process is one of the alternative methods applied for the removal of toxic materials by structure of nanofiber. The unique and exceptional advantages of electrospun nanofibers such as large surface area, high porosity, and flexibility, while their of functionalization improve their ability as adsorbents for removal of hazardous materials. Adsorption among conventional technologies is very impressive and the most widely used method owing to the ease of operation and comparably lower cost. This chapter covers a multitude of aspects regarding the application of various nanofiber as adsorbent for the elimination of dangerous gases and contaminants in aqueous solutions and a discussion of their adsorption performance in detail. This chapter might lead to the development of adsorption based on nanofibers as prospective process to ease and eliminate the pollution problems. The advantageous characteristics of electrospun nanofiber-based adsorbents are assigned attributed to their special structures and their influence on the removal and/or elimination of hazardous compounds." @default.
