• W3139605737 abstract "In this paper, the juice extraction process, collecting locked juice from sugarcane fibers by crushing mill, of sugar factory is taken up for controller design and analysis. It is actually a MIMO (multi input multi output) process with severe multivariable contacts.A decoupled SISO plant model, with the flap position input variable (manipulated variable) and the roller torque output variable (controlled variable), has been imported,in this work, for analysis. The PI and soft computing based, Fuzzy and Neurofuzzy, controllers have been designed, in MATLAB, for this SISO model and their control performance is compared. ANFIS technique has been used for designing neurofuzzy controller. This technique incorporates Takagi -Sugeno model of fuzzy inference system in where the output membership functions are allowed to be only constant or linear. On the other hand, the input membership functions may be of any desired form such as triangular, Gaussian, trapezoidal, etc. All results have been obtained on MATLAB." @default.
