An efficient food service is the sum of a range of activities that require careful thought and planning. In order to prepare successfully for service, a number of activities will need to be determined and carried out, ranging from organising and preparing ingredients, cooking and presenting dishes for service from a pre-determined menu, to closing down the section at the end of service and preparing for the next service period.
