- W3145301492 abstract "The basis for the development of students' knowledge system lies in the teaching contents which enable students to acquire scientific theoretical knowledge and concepts, and develop thinking operations characteristic for scientific thinking both individually and with their teachers' assistance. The development of students' scientific theoretical thinking operations forms the foundation for their linking knowledge into systems. Theoretical and empirical research in the Vygotski's school of thinking have proved that initial teaching contents in primary school can be based on scientific-theoretical knowledge, as well as that it is possible to develop the students' scientific theoretical thinking by using such contents. A significant assumption about the development of the students' knowledge system is based on the possibility that essential internal features relations and connections of the subject matter, phenomena and processes are being discovered during the process of cognition, as well as establishing the relations between the internal, concrete-general with the particular-individual within the frame of the subject matter. Another equally significant assumption about the development of the students' knowledge system relates to the need that students be in the position to approach the subject matter as a complete and functional system during the process of cognition, as well as to be informed of the genesis of the studied systems and provided with such conditions which would enable them to discover inner causes of the origin of the system under study." @default.
