This paper briefly presents an overview of the UDC definition and types of deposits involved, as they are related to different UDC mechanisms, focusing on the commonly used methods, techniques, and sensors used to inspect and monitor the UDC in C-steel oil and gas pipelines. Additionally, the latest mitigation strategies were discussed concisely.
