- W3147696589 abstract "The conscious perception of a signal includes representation of a signal on the map of detectors in combination with the activation contribution realized by neuron modulators [2]. A percept that has arisen is checked against a set of memory traces and is recorded in special memory neurons which, in their turn, form two-sided connections with neurons of the semantic level. The semantic neurons realize the act of categorization. This schema of subjective representation thus includes three levels: the perceptive, the mnemic, and the semantic [4]. Under ordinary conditions all three levels of representation are merged in a unified act of consciousness [5]. The task of the researcher resides in the separation of these levels. In choosing a research object, it is advisable to stay with such material for which, on the one hand, its sensory content has been sufficiently fully studied, and on the other hand, for the description of which a limited but well-developed vocabulary exists. Color vision for which there are sufficient neurophysiological data may serve as such material. There is a well-organized vocabulary of color names for the designation of colors. Based on the notions regarding the representation of signals on screen structures formed by detector, mnemic and semantic neurons, it can be hypothesized that the difference between signals on neuronal screens is measured by the distance between those neurons which represent these signals. Assuming further that subjective differences between signals are determined by the distance between the neurons representing them, one may approach the formulation of a general methodology for the study of the subjective repre-" @default.
