But application of MGBG reduced the leaf Spd and Spm contents,RWC and activities of SOD and POD, increased the levels of MDA. However, the effects of applications of AOA ware the converse (Figs. 1～4). The drought resistant strain 504 had higher RWC than drought sensitive strain 8139, and its Spd and Spm contents and activities of SOD and POD had stronger responses to drought than those of 8139; moreover, it had lower level of MDA(Figs. 1～4). Thus, it can be concluded that Spd and Spm are more important than that of Put in plant response to drought stress, and that Spd and Spm probably play key roles in promoting the plant drought resistance." @default.
