- W3148646510 abstract "Objective To explore the effects of high-power radar microwave on rats′ blood-testis barrier(BTB).Methods Adult male SD rats were divided into one time microwave exposure and continuous microwave exposure groups, respectively. Each group had 4 sub-groups(control,microwave exposure, drug prevention and physical protection groups),each with 10 rats. The rats of drug prevention sub-group were intragastric administrated with Anduolin capsule. The rats of exposure group, drug prevention group and physical protection group were exposed with high-power radar microwave. The exposure box of physical protection group was wrapped with anti-electromagnetic wave cloth. The rats of the control group had sham exposure. The testis were fixed with 40 mg/L glutaral fixative solution(20 g/L lanthanum nitrate) and observed by a transmission electron microscope. Results The intercellular space among spermatogenic cells was enlarged and lanthanum crossed the tight junction, even reached the area of sperm and convoluted tubule in the rats of one time and continuous microwave exposure groups. However,in the testis of drug prevention and physical protection groups, lanthanum precipitation was only found in basal membrane and around the spermospore, which didn′t across the BTB tight junction. Conclusion Exposure to high-power radar microwave increased rats′ BTB permeability, which induced reproduction toxicity. The Anduolin capsules and the anti-electromagnetic radiation fabric demonstrated protective efficacy." @default.
