- W3152806947 abstract "The study analyzed the propagandistic manipulations embedded in the U.S.-led war in Iraq in 2003. The aim was to ascertain how America used propaganda in her attempts to shore up support for the war and sway her targets. Through a content analysis of Time and Newsweek for a period of three months (February-April, 2003), the study established that Washington applied most, card stacking propaganda technique in search of global support, with Time printing more U.S. propaganda (64.8%) than Newsweek (35.2%). Results indicate that in spite of her generous application of propaganda, the U.S. didn’t win popular support for the war. It can therefore be concluded that the military operation she led in Iraq was an unpopular one. It is recommended that another study combine content analysis and survey to investigate forces that shaped the war coverage." @default.
