Therefore, environment quality sensing tools have become inevitable in everyday life. Though several tools are reported in the scientific literature and much more are available in the market, this field of research on environment sensors has always been on its priority. Simplicity, cost-effectiveness, reliability, and stability are the challenges that decide the performance of sensors. This chapter will discuss achievements made toward various chemosensors and biosensors that can pave the way toward environment remediation.Research on environment sensors is one of the evergreen areas with contributions from transdisciplinary researchers round the world. Though technological advancements and industrial developments are happening at a daunting rate, on one hand, the hazards posed by them on the environment are increasing at a much faster rate. Therefore, it becomes necessary to develop such a tool to meet the challenges ahead in food, healthcare, and environmental sectors. With the emergence of highly infectious and/or antibiotic-resistant pathogens, advancements in biosensors are made with the need for quicker detection/treatment and ease of use in diagnostics. This chapter deals with various kinds of sensors available for the detection of pathogens and toxic chemicals, with their classifications based on the type of transducer used, along with the recent findings in each type." @default.
