- W3153719985 abstract "A comprehensive analysis of various kinds of socio-philosophical literature concerning the issue of our compatriots who ended up abroad of their homeland against their will allowed us to single out the factors and conditions determining the essence of Russian culture and its significance for a person who became a migrant. This also made it possible to find answers to some questions related to their fate, as well as to see and realize the depth of loss for the present and future Russia due to the loss of representatives of Russian culture. We carried out a comparison and analysis of two historical situations associated with the forced migration of Russian-speaking (1917–1930) and Russian compatriots who came to be hostages to Russian politics (1991–2000). Many aspects and factors intrinsic to ethnic Russians living on the territory of the former republics of the Soviet Union (after 1991) have been identified, which led the authors to realize the presence of deep ethnic sociocultural mechanisms defining the meaning and values of their existential world, find expression in the socio-political and cultural position of many representatives of the Russian community. The emerging negative trend for Russia associated with the loss of the Russian-speaking population continues these days; there is an active and, “voluntary” “drain” of them abroad. This fact is highly alarming and causes great concern to a greater extent among the country's scientists than among its leadership. The comprehensive research carried out by the authors was also supplemented by the results of a sociological survey of compatriots living abroad regarding their understanding of the concept of “Russian culture”. The results obtained made for developing provisions concerning the problems of Russian-speaking people living outside the borders of their motherland, which can be used in further scientific research, as well as for the development of state and public programs in this area." @default.
