- W3153913398 abstract "Ru(bpy)32+-doped TiO2-SiOR (organic groups R = R1 from GPTS or R2 from MPTMS) hybrid films were prepared by the sol-gel method from different precursors 3-glycidoxypropyl-trimethoxysilane (GPTS) or 3-methacryloxypropyl-trimethoxysilane (MPTMS), methacrylic acid (MAA) and Ti(OBun)4. Ti-O-Si and Si-O-Si bonds occurred via the sol-gel processing, -C-O-C- cycles and double bonds C=C were broken for photo-polymerization by UV-curing, in the hybrid films. Ti-O-Si could shift the absorption edge of the hybrid films to near 300nm. High transmittance of the TiO2-SiOR films could reach ~2500nm. When doped with Ru(bpy)32+, their photoluminescent spectra were measured under different excitation wavelengths and the emission peaks were occurred at ~597 nm. The intensity of photoluminescence in the host TiO2-SiOR1 was much stronger than that in the host TiO2-SiOR2. The thermal decomposing temperature was Td ~ 408 °C for the TiO2-SiOR1, and Td ~ 411 °C for the TiO2-SiOR2." @default.
