- W3154095514 abstract "The non-selective property of Zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) for pollutant treatment is considered a challenge. The ZnO NPs at various Graphene Oxide nanoparticles (GO NPs) dosages have been synthesized and modified via the sonochemical method. Selective removal of methylene blue (MB) as the cationic dye was performed in a mixture of methyl orange (MB/MO) and Rhodamine B (MB/RhB) as anionic and cationic dyes, respectively. The morphology, structure size, functional groups and chemical bonds identification, surface charge and absorption spectra of the NPs were investigated using XRD, TEM, FTIR and RS spectrums, Zeta potential and UV–Vis spectrophotometer analysis, respectively. Response surface methodology (RSM) based on Box–Behnken designs (BBD) was used to optimize the experimental conditions. The predicted values of selective removal are in good agreement with the experimental values. The advanced photocatalytic, sonocatalytic and photo/sonocatalytic techniques were used to investigate the complete degradation of the adsorbed MB." @default.
