- W3155493509 abstract "As the need for advancement in underwater technologies has become one of the prime call of modern era. The necessity to develop an efficient system of propulsion with enhanced endurance of UUVs i.e. (Unmanned Underwater Vehicles) is inspected in this paper and a conceptual model of such a system is presented. The EPS i.e. (Electric propulsion system), in which a battery serves as the source of power, motor is driving the underwater vehicle and propellers are primary driven unit, is a critical notion for energy efficient underwater vehicle's propulsion. The mathematical design of proposed Electric propulsion system integrates the key abilities to make it create lesser noisy and comparatively more efficient. It should provide higher starting torque with higher speed and sufficient endurance to cover the desired range of target. The MATLAB Simulink generates graphs amongst multiple operational and configurational parameters. The outcomes of the paper are totally based upon the analytical aftermaths and simulations. The prescribed model of EPS gives a clear perception that fundamental parameters such as depth and speed of UUVs are related directly to drag. In parallel to that, the fundamental design specifications of the underwater vehicles such as surface area, shape and weight, also relate directly with the drag force acting against the translation of the vehicle. The relations have been discussed analytically and are validated through the results of simulations." @default.
