• W3156699783 abstract "Aim Otosclerosis is a hereditary disorder that is characterized by pathologic remodeling of the otic capsule. It leads to progressive hearing loss and the treatment is surgical. For a successful treatment an appropriate surgical technique, as well as an appropriate prosthesis must be chosen. The aim of the following article is to introduce our experience and the preferred surgical technique in management of otosclerosis. Argument Over the span of 8 years (from 2012 to 2020) 72 cases of otosclerosis were surgically managed. The technique that we prefer is a stapedotomy with transmeatal approach. We use a CO2- LASER to make the crurotomy and the stapedotomy. In 65 cases there was improvement in hearing level. In 4 cases complications occurred postoperatively. Conclusion Stapedotomy is the preferred technique because of the lower surgical trauma and rare postoperative complications. This surgical treatment requires a short hospital stay of 2 days. A significant hearing improvement postoperatively is observed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Цел Отосклерозата е унаследяемо заболяване, характеризиращо се с патологично ремоделиране на костния лабиринт на вътрешното ухо. Води до прогресивно намаление на слуха и лечението му е оперативно. За неговия успех е необходимо да се подбере подходяща оперативна техника, както и подходяща протеза. Настоящата статия има за цел да представи нашия опит и предпочитаната от нас оперативна техника при лечението на отосклероза. Аргумент За период от 8 години (между 2012 и 2020 г.) 72 случая на отосклероза са подложени на оперативно лечение. Предпочитаната от нас оперативна техника е стапедотомия, извършена с трансмеатален достъп. Използваме СО2 – лазер за извършване на круротомията и стапедотомията. При 65 от случаите се наблюдава подобрение на слуха. В 4 от случаите са настъпили усложнения постоперативно. Заключение Стапедотомията е предпочитаната от нас техника, поради ниската травматичност и редките постоперативни усложнения. Оперативното лечение изисква кратък болничен престой от 2 дни, а постоперативно се наблюдава значително подобрение на слуха." @default.
