Actualmente, 9 de cada 100 personas en el mundo tienen mas de 65 anos de edad y las estimaciones y proyecciones de poblacion muestran que para el 2050 seran 15 de cada 100 y para 2100 subira a 22 de cada 100. Es un fenomeno generalizado, con intensidades diversas entre paises, pero que caminan hacia un mismo rumbo del fenomeno. En este marco, este documento pretende realizar un diagnostico del fenomeno del envejecimiento demografico en comparacion de Colombia y el mundo, para posteriormente profundizar en detalle desde un enfoque de heterogeneidad regional y vulnerabilidad social del envejecimiento en el pais como una nueva realidad demografica con implicaciones multidimensionales centradas en la dependencia. Las fuentes de informacion son las estadisticas del Censo Nacional de Poblacion y Vivienda 2018 para Colombia, el portal de 2019 Revision of World Population Prospects de las Naciones Unidas y las estimaciones y proyecciones de poblacion revision 2019 de la CEPAL. La principal conclusion es sustentar con un analisis de diagnostico demografico hacia atras y hacia adelante en el tiempo que Colombia debe estar preparada para empezar a integrar en las diversivas discusiones de sociedad el fenomeno del envejecimiento.English abstract: Population aging is a demographic phenomenon that, in the last fifty years, has grown in importance, concern, and empirical study due to the inevitable rise of the world population in conditions of old age and the increase in the proportion of this segment over the total population. Currently, 9 out of 100 people in the world are over 65 years of age and population estimates and projections show that by 2050 it will be 15 out of 100 and by 2100 it will rise to 22 out of 100. It is a generalized phenomenon, with different intensities between countries, but that moves towards the same direction. In this framework, this document aims to make a diagnosis of the phenomenon of demographic aging in comparison with Colombia and the world, to later delve into detail from a focus of regional heterogeneity and social vulnerability of aging in the country as a new demographic reality with multidimensional implications focused on dependency. The sources of information are the statistics from the 2018 National Population and Housing Census for Colombia, the 2019 Revision of World Population Prospects portal of the United Nations, and the population estimates and projections 2019 revision of ECLAC. The main conclusion is to support through a backward and forward demographic diagnostic analysis that Colombia should be prepared to integrate the aging phenomenon into society's various discussions." @default.
