- W3158155114 abstract "Three kinds of ZnO nanostructures with different morphologies have been successfully prepared by a simple solvothermal method using the mixture of polyethylene glycol 200 (PEG200) and distilled water as solvent. The morphology of the ZnO products varied gradually from asymmetric dumbbell-like nanostructures (as-db-ZnO) to cauliflower-like nanostructures and microrods with the increase of H2O volume fraction in the solvent. In addition, the size of the as-db-ZnO can be tuned by simply adjusting the adding amount of NaAc. The formation mechanism of the as-db-ZnO and their gas-sensing performance were explored in detail. It was found that growth under the assistance of intrinsic electric fields and the capping effect of PEG induced the formation of the as-db-ZnO. The as-prepared as-db-ZnO exhibited good gas response and fast response towards n-butanol gas with obvious size-dependent effect. The unique morphology and special growth mechanism would provide a theoretical basis for controllable synthesis of nanomaterials." @default.
