- W3162182136 abstract "This paper deals with the improvement of doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) active and reactive powers control based on proportional and integral fractional order (PIFO) controller which is a good alternative for improving industrial process control against internal and external disturbances with more flexibility and robustness due to the level of freedom comparing to the conventional one. In the present work direct active and reactive powers PIFO control algorithm of DFIG is developed optimized by swarm particle optimization (PSO) algorithm to design and optimize the controller parameters which is a very complicated step and requires a lot of calculation. The simulation results are carried out using MATLAB Simulink package under respectively: 50% rotor resistance variation and 50% voltage dip disturbance for the robustness and stability. The simulation results show that under normal conditions the proposed PIFO controller performances is similar to these given by classical PI controller with improved response time. However, under internal and external disturbances the PIFO controller gives improved results with more stability and more robustness of the controlled system." @default.
