- W3162197967 abstract "Nanofluids are the nanoparticles suspension in fluids which have unique characteristics such as a low viscosity and high thermal conductivity that helps to enhance the heat transfer rate in thermal systems. Present study deals with the preparation of various nanoparticles with base fluids (DDW and DDW-EG mixtures) in the ratio of 50:50 and 70:30 at different concentration ranges from 0.1-5% by volume. Nanofluids are prepared by using direct dispersion method and then 80 min sonication time was observing as optimized time on the basis of thermal conductivity behaviour of nanofluids. Experimental findings confirm that the thermal conductivity of nanofluids rise significantly with subsequently rise in ratio of ethylene glycol in water, with increase in nanoparticles volumetric concentration and temperature. Carbon nanotubes with water:EG (50:50) show maximum enhancement of 40% for 5% nanoparticle concentration at 50 °C." @default.
