- W3162998239 abstract "This chapter reviews the recent progress in the eco-hydrology and biogeochemical cycle model in the terrestrial-aquatic continuum. One of the fundamentals of eco-hydrology model is to incorporate a complex relation between soil, water, temperature, plant, and carbon. Because these mechanisms are closely interconnected with each other and sometimes the carbon cycle may be triggered or greatly altered by extreme events, the coupling simulation will play a role in the integration of the greenhouse gas budget of the biosphere, quantification of hot spots along a terrestrial-aquatic continuum, and bridging the gap between bottom-up and top-down approaches. The chapter presents the results of NICE-BGC simulations compared with the results of previous research on the effect of inland water. The effects of simulations are evaluated and possible gaps for improvement identified." @default.
