- W3165100937 abstract "Geotextile tubes dewatering technology has gained widespread popularity for dewatering high-water content sludge. However, the commonly used woven geotextiles with large pore size fail to retain fine particles. Geotextiles with high efficiency of filtration and dewatering, and high strength are indispensable to this technology. Herein, we report fabrication of composite geotextile by laminating a thin spun-bonded nonwoven over woven slit-film with high retention ability for dewatering application by needle-punching process. Synthesized composite geotextiles with the help of nonwoven layer retain more particles. This, in turn, improves the filtration efficiency of geotextile without sacrificing the strength of the woven. Consequently, the optimized composite geotextiles exhibit comparatively much lower piping rate (1443.7 g/m2) and higher dewatering efficiency (filter cake's solid content is 71.98%)." @default.
