The hydrogen bond and hydrophobic interaction play an important role between the P(MMA-co-NIPAM) and BPs. The ratio of copolymer MMA to NIPAM monomers, type and concentration of salt, extraction time and acetonitrile volume, as variables affecting the efficiency of extraction process, were investigated with the aid of single-variable optimization. Under optimal conditions, the coefficient of determination (R2) of calibration curves was greater than 0.999. Enrichment factors (EFs) ranged from 74 to 128. Extraction recoveries (ERs) ranged from 44 to 77%. The limits of detection (LODs) and limits of quantification (LOQs) were in the ranges of 0.20–0.90 and 0.68–3.01 μg L−1, respectively.
