Herein, UiO-67(N) with the exposure of 2,2′-bipyridine (bpy) ligands could coordinate with Ru2+ to form a local structure of [Ru(bpy)3]2+ (Ru-UiO). The influence of the steric effect induced with different Ru sources was discussed. The as-obtained Ru-UiO exhibits high ECL intensity and outstanding stability in the presence of a coreactant at low concentrations. The proposed synthesis strategy may hold great potential for the synthesis of solid-state ECL materials and their further utilization in ECL analysis." @default.
