- W3176013453 abstract "In this paper dry sliding wear behavior of fibre reinforced filler filled polymer based composites studied and analysed.The problem of sliding wear with respect process parametes such as load speed and temperature on polymer matrix composites was focused. The high strength fibre reinforced filler filled polymer matrix composites subjected to sliding wear behavior it is necessary to study the wear performance of materials before using in different environment condition. The new idea of filler addition,fibr-matrix ratio to reduce the wear behavior is incorporated in this paper In fiber reinforced plastics wear mechanism is dominated by four process, viz., matrix wear, fiber sliding wear, fiber fracture and interfacial de-bonding. The matrix wear occurs due to plastic deformation and fiber sliding wear occurs due to fiber rubbing, fiber rupture, fiber cracking, and fiber pulverizing. The main objectives of this article is to review the different fillers in fiber reinforced composites with respect to the varying experimental / operating parameters such as applied load, sliding velocity, sliding distance at elevated temperature and by varying materials property with respect to filler and fiber volume/weight percentage at different condition including materials characterization. The review has been made by recent findings and latest industrial applications. The detail investigation was conducted to describe specific wear rate, and wear mechanism and their significance were emphasized in this article. References were added on how to solve the problems related to wear resistance and wear mechanism relationship for fibers, polymers, and fillers in polymer matrix composites." @default.
