- W3176162816 abstract "For classic vehicles powered by internal combustion engines, the gearbox and the mechanical transmission with differential system sustain the obtention of needed torque at wheels. Combining different gears, the vehicle attempts a large speed range. However, the use of electric propulsion systems that produce high torque at zero speed suppresses or limits the usage of the gearbox to one reducer in the most cases. Also, bringing the mechanical power generation from a central point for all the car to the wheels by modular design, becomes an opportunity with electric motors. This paper presents the multi-electric engine solution for a vehicle passing from one motor solution (all wheels driving) to two motors design. The comparative analysis of the dynamic and electrical parameters of the two solutions was performed using numerical simulation. The obtained results showed that the solution with two engines has certain advantages, at least in terms of energy consumption." @default.
