- W3176262353 abstract "The laser cladding method was selected to prepare Fe 47 Cr 15 Mo 14 Co 3 C 15 B 6 amorphous coating on H13 steel surface. The structure morphology and surface properties of the cladding layer under various laser scanning speeds were compared, which were analyzed through scanning electron microscope, electron probe and X-ray diffraction to represent the micro microstructure and phase distribution of the cladding layer. The results show that, with the increase of scanning speed, there is obvious changes of the microstructure of the cladding layer. When the scanning speed was 50 mm/s, the cladding layer was made up of large amount of crystalline phase and small amount of amorphous phase. When the scanning speed was 80 mm/s, the proportion of amorphous phase in the cladding layer increased obviously, and the crystalline phase diffused in the amorphous region. When the scanning speed further increased, the amorphous phase content increased as well. In addition, with the increase of scanning speed, the hardness and corrosion resistance of the cladding layer increased greatly as well, which indicates that the amorphous phase amount has a significant influence on the properties of the cladding layer. • The laser cladding technique was adopted to successfully prepare Fe-based amorphous coating. • Even distribution of components would benefit formation of amorphous phase. • The hardening phase in the amorphous region improves the hardness of the cladding layer. • Amorphous phase and Mo 2 C phase improve the corrosion resistance of the cladding layer." @default.
