Dalam penelitian ini dikaji kemampuan aktivitas fotokatalis senyawa Aurivillius lapis empat SrBi4Ti4O15 dalam mendegradasi senyawa Rhodamine-B. Senyawa uji SrBi4Ti4O15 disintesis melalui metode lelehan garam campuran Na2SO4/K2SO4. Difraktogram menunjukkan bahwa senyawa SrBi4Ti4O15 telah berhasil disintesis dan tidak ditemukan fasa pengotor. Hasil refinement difraktogram dengan metode Rietvield diketahui bahwa senyawa produk SrBi4Ti4O15 memiliki grup ruang A21am dengan parameter kisi a, b, c masing-masing 5,4498; 5,4336; 40,9469 Å. Spektrum ultraviolet visible diffuse reflectancy spectroscopy (UV-Vis DRS) menunjukkan bahwa senyawa SrBi4Ti4O15 memiliki energi celah pita sebesar 3,02 eV (~410,54 nm). Hasil uji degradasi larutan Rhodamine-B menunjukkan bahwa senyawa SrBi4Ti4O15 mengikuti model reaksi pseudo orde kedua dengan kemampuan mendegradasi sebesar 41,10% pada waktu 120 menit." @default.
