In this way, companies have sought to create environmentally sustainable alternatives for products and processes, due to governmental, market and legislative pressures. Given this context, the research problem in the present study is: What guidelines can be proposed to reduce the environmental impact of the IPDP (Integrated Product Development Process)? This study aims to present a theoretical discussion on the influence of the GSCM (Green Supply Chain Management) approach on IPDP. Therefore, this study intends to present previously published models of IPDP related to the “operations factor”: green purchase, green manufacturing, and green distribution, themes related to the GSCM. Following, guidelines will be presented to integrate the product design, green purchase, green manufacturing, and green distribution stages to reduce the environmental impact. The contribution of this study is to fill a gap in the literature that presents guidelines to be used by companies for the integration of IPDP and GSCM, specifically related to the “operations factor”." @default.
