- W3180456835 abstract "During a four months pumping test at the KTB-borehole from a depth of 3.990 meters the physico-chemical parameters, pH, Eh, T, Oxygen content and specific electrical conductivity were continuously measured. A hydrochemical sampling in hourly to daily intervals took place. After approximately fifty days of pumping, a brine of Ca-Na-Cl type with a moderate high salinity of 15.500 mg Ca2+/l, 6.000 mg Na+/l and 42.000 mg Cl−/l was encountered. After this period a series of major and minor constituents could be measured. Br−/Cl− and F−/Cl−,Br−/I− ratios lie, as expected above the evaporation curve for ocean water. A preliminary hydrogeochemical modelling with the programs PHREEQE and PHRQPITZ showed satisfactory results. The pH value could be corrected from the measured 8,3 at the surface to 5,7 under in-situ conditions. Some minerals like Calcite, Baryte and Quartz were over saturated under surface conditions at 12 °C, at equilibrium under in-situ conditions at 119 °C." @default.
