- W3182881640 abstract "Friction stir welding (FSW) is a type of welding in which the joint is made in the solid phase using the heat generated through friction. FSW is used to produce welds with superior strength with low distortion. At present, the FSW technique is enormously applied in aerospace-related applications. In the present study, a multi objective optimization technique based on Dragonfly Algorithm (DFA) is proposed for optimizing the weld strength of FSW of aluminum alloy 6082-T6. The prime purpose of this work is to determine the optimal parameter combination of the input process parameters namely the tool rotational speed, the welding speed, and the tool tilt angle to achieve the optimal tensile strength and the impact strength of the weld. The optimal process parameters are validated and simulated using MATLAB software." @default.
