- W3183574809 abstract "Abstract: This study aims to determine whether students' practical skills in statistical calculations using the tutorial method using SPSS are better than students' practical skills in statistical calculations using conventional methods. The 2020/2021 teaching consists of five classes. The research sample consisted of two classes where the first class as the experimental class was given a tutorial learning method with the SPSS application while the second class as the control class was given conventional learning with manual statistical calculations. To measure the practical skills of students in statistical calculations in both classes, a test instrument in the form of questions was used. essay as many as 10 questions that have been validated. The results obtained were tested for normality with the Shapiro Wilk test and homogeneity tested with the Levene's Test at a significance level of 5% (α = 0.05) where the results of the data were normal and homogeneous. Subsequently, a hypothesis test was conducted with a one-party t-test using the Independent Sample T-Test at = 0.05. From the results of the hypothesis test, the sig value was obtained. of 0.015 <α (0.05) which means Ho is rejected/Ha is accepted. Based on the test results, the researcher concludes that students' practical skills in statistical calculations using the SPSS tutorial method are better than students' practical skills in statistical calculations using conventional methods. The use of the tutorial method with the SPSS application is 33.5% better than the conventional method.
