- W3183678300 abstract "Flexible and transparent anti-counterfeiting films have aroused great attention for their potential applications in information security and assurance of product quality recently. Much attention has been focused on the crystalline structure matrix; however, studies on amorphous alumina hosts are limited. Here, an amorphous alumina doped with Eu3+ phosphor was successfully synthesized by a soft chemical route. Its structure evolution, morphology, and photoluminescence features were analyzed. The amorphous alumina host offers free access for Eu3+ and simultaneously avoids the issue of lattice mismatch. A bright red emission was achieved for Eu3+ doping over a very wide range. Subsequently, an ultraviolet (UV)-light-stimulated anti-counterfeiting film composed of a Eu3+-doped amorphous alumina phosphor and thermoplastic polyurethane was fabricated. The film possesses excellent stretchability, flexibility, transparency, and water resistance. The transparency under daylight and red emission patterns under UV irradiation provide the composite film with excellent anti-counterfeiting abilities. The results show that this new type of amorphous alumina matrix produces an excellent comprehensive performance film that provides great practical significance and application in the anti-counterfeiting aspect." @default.
