- W3186527752 abstract "Background: Various types of plants that have the potential to be used as medicinal plants. Various results of studies indicate that tropical plants have considerable potential to be developed as drugs. Among the local medicinal plants of Southeast Sulawesi, plants that are traditionally known as nutritious plants are laughing plants (Cassia alata). In ethnic Tolaki ethnic Sabandara plants are used for medicinal skin and phlegm. The potential of the sabandara laughter plant as an antifungal is very possible to further develop this plant as a cure for various skin diseases. Objective: To determine the inhibition of Sabandara leaf extract (Cassia alata) against Malassezia furfur fungi. Method: This study is an experimental study with post-test control group design. The isolate of the test material in this study was the mushroom colony Malassezia furfur obtained from the Microbiology Laboratory of the Department of Health Analyst of the Health Ministry of Kendari. In the research conducted the inhibitory test of Sabandara leaf extract from concentrations of 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50, 60%, and 70% to the Malassezia furfur mushroom. Results: At a concentration of 10% there were no inhibitory zones formed while in inhibited zoba 20%, 30%, 40 50, 60% and 70%, the inhibition zones formed were 6.22 mm respectively; 7.12 mm; 7.15mm; 10.12 mm; 10.14 mm; and 12.33%. Conclusion: Sabandar leaf extract (Cassia alata) can inhibit the fungus Malassezia fur which is a fungus that causes skin disease." @default.
