- W3188462403 abstract "In the present study, the crude polysaccharides were extracted from red seaweed, Amphiroa fragilissima. A. fragilissima crude polysaccharides (AFCP) was encapsulated with Artemia nauplii at different levels, such as 0 (control), 0.1, 0.15, and 0.20 g/L), followed by being fed to Litopenaeus vannamei postlarvae (PL) for 45 days. At the end of the feeding experiment, survival, growth, digestive enzymes (protease, amylase, and lipase), biochemical constituents (total soluble protein, total amino acid, total free sugar, and total lipid), antioxidants (catalase and superoxide dismutase), and lipid peroxidation activities were studied. The result showed that the growth, digestive enzymes activity (protease and amylase), biochemical constituents, antioxidants were significantly higher in 0.20 g/L AFCP encapsulated Artemia nauplii fed shrimps PL compared to unencapsulated Artemia nauplii fed PL. Hence, the present study indicates that the administration of AFCP encapsulated Artemia nauplii can promote the activity of digestive enzymes, growth, muscle biochemical constituents, and antioxidants in L. vannamei." @default.
