- W3188783477 abstract "Wind energy is one the cleanest renewable energy sources available in India. This work is focused on implementing Vertical Axis Wind Turbines (VAWT) on highways at an economical cost to provide a separate way to charge our Electric Vehicles (EV) in the future which won’t affect the normal grid. On highways enormous amount of wind energy is getting wasted by moving vehicles. In turn, one can use this wind energy to extract electric energy and use this energy to charge electric vehicles. This study aims to utilize maximum wind energy most effectively to obtain the highest electric output, and thus highways are chosen as the project area where one can take the benefit of the moving vehicle of the road. In the present work, the turbine is area designed and fabricated as per the specifications. Helix-type blades are used in this work. The shaft of the turbine is coupled to Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG) which generates the power. The power developed is delivered to EV charging stations and then can be used to recharge the Electrical vehicles. This work is also focused on extracting maximum output with a lowest cost of installation and maintenance in order to implement this wind turbine on highways at a minimum cost. These arrangements and the entire work have been simulated using Q blade software and MATLAB/Simulink." @default.
